What engineers use Roiko for
Roiko turns a plain-language description into a 3D structural model, runs the analysis, checks it against the Eurocodes, and produces the drawings and material take-offs that follow. These pages cover what that looks like on real work.
Steel portal frame design
Roiko generates a complete steel portal frame structure from a single plain-language sentence describing the building, including columns, rafters and foundations sized as a connected model.
Eurocode steel capacity checks
Roiko performs steel capacity checks to EN 1993 — cross-section and buckling for members, plus column base plates to EN 1993-1-8 — on the same model it generates and analyses.
Material take-offs from the model
Roiko extracts material take-offs (MTOs) directly from the structural model it generated and analysed, so the quantities always describe the structure that was actually checked.
IFC export to BIM tools
Roiko exports its structural models to IFC4, the open BIM exchange format that Revit, Tekla and other BIM tools read, so a generated and code-checked structure moves into the toolchain a practice already runs.
Eurocode concrete member checks
Roiko checks reinforced concrete members to EN 1992 (Eurocode 2) on the same structural model it generates and analyses, in the same pass as the steel members to EN 1993 and the shallow foundations to EN 1997.
Foundation design to Eurocode 7
Roiko checks shallow foundations to EN 1997-1 (Eurocode 7) on the same structural model it generates and analyses, so the foundations are part of the model from the first sentence rather than a separate calculation added at the end.
